How to play Kahoot!

What is Kahoot!?

Kahoot! is a Norwegian online platform where one can create, share and play educational games.

We at Online Språkcafé will use it to learn a little Swedish at the beginning of each språkcafé.

The exercises in our Kahoot! games will be a simplified version of the exercises in this week's mini language workshop. This way, you can, for example, check what you have learned after solving the exercises yourself earlier.

You do not have to participate, it is optional.

How to play Kahoot!?

• You need two devices, one to connect to our Zoom språkcafé session and one to play Kahoot. For example, a computer and a mobile phone.

• On your Zoom screen, you will see a shared Kahoot! screen.

  
  

• To participate, either:

  
  

  • scan the QR code shown on the screen (then you don't need the PIN code)

    
    

  • or visit the website kahoot.it and enter the PIN code written on the screen, in this case: 323 3094. (The PIN code changes each time the game is run again.)

    
    

• You will be asked to enter the nickname you want to play under. This can be your real name or something else.

  
  

• After that, your avatar will appear on both screens, on your mobile and on the Zoom session screen.

• When the game starts, you will see a question with multiple answers marked in different colors on the Zoom screen.

  
  

• Choose the one you think is right by looking at the matching color on your phone.

  
  

• When the time to answer has expired, you will see the correct answer on the Zoom screen.
