Chicken phobia

A man comes to a psychiatrist because of his chicken phobia. The psychiatrist tells him, "Yes, we can treat all kinds of phobias, but it takes a little longer and you have to stay in our clinic for about three months."

The patient agrees, so the doctor starts daily psychotherapy.

After two months, there seems to be progress. The doctor says, "Okay, you've been at our clinic for two months now and I think you're ready to go for a walk by yourself, near the clinic."

The patient agrees and goes for a short walk.

But near the clinic there were some houses with gardens, and in one of them the patient saw some chickens. He immediately runs back and rushes towards the doctor's office, shouting: "Doctor, chickens, chickens... the chickens were there!!!"

The doctor, dissatisfied with this, after thinking it was good progress, says as calmly as he could: "But my dear man, we talked about this over and over again, you know they can't hurt you..."

“Yes, doctor,” says the man, still breathing heavily, “I know... but the chickens don’t know!”
